Cookin' for Mama

Om boken

When celebrated Irish chef Adrian Martin became a parent, he approached the experience the only way he knows how: through food. But even for a professional chef, the reality of a new family – the busyness, the exhaustion, the sheer amount of change happening all at once – meant that knowing what to cook and why it mattered was not always as straightforward as it looked. Now he wants to share the recipes that got them through those heady early days. Cooking for My Mama is for every parent and family nurturing a new life into the world.

Organised by trimester, postpartum, and baby weaning, the book's sixty-plus recipes are built around what the body actually needs at every stage – from fortified soda breads in the early months to healing postpartum broths and simple first foods for baby. Warm and practical, it is the book he hopes will sit on the kitchen counter of every family as they find their way through one of life's most joyful transitions.

Adrian Martin is one of Ireland's most recognisable TV chefs – thirteen years on Virgin Media's The Six O'Clock Show, plus RTÉ, BBC, and Amazon Prime – with two previous cookbooks behind him.
