Dear Grace

Om boken

A mother’s recipes and her daughter’s first kitchen adventures away from home.

Dear Grace is a warm and wise cookbook written by chef and award-winning food writer Claire Thomson for her daughter as she leaves home for university – one for parents to read, and their soon to be adult children to cook from. Claire began addressing Instagram posts to Grace, each pairing heartfelt advice and reminiscences with a recipe to cook and why it would fit the bill, hundreds of miles away from home. This struck a chord with parents everywhere experiencing similar emotional highs and lows as they sent their children off into adult life. Including the chapters: Legacy Recipes, Cooking on a Budget, All Back to Mine – Late Night Food, Flatshare Feasts, Faster than Fast Food and Sweet Tooth – these are simple, accessible recipes for cooking nutritious food on a budget.

Through memories and stories of family and food, Claire perfectly captures the bittersweet moment of watching your child begin their independent life – and the comfort of knowing they can feed themselves and their friends with confidence and creativity.
