House Love

Om boken

Step into the airy, light-filled, exquisitely detailed homes of the Florida-based firm Moor Baker Architects in this first book on their work

Over the past three decades, Moor Baker Architects has gained a stellar reputation for creating timeless houses that prioritize clients’ preferences, climate considerations, and charm. In recognition of their excellence, the firm has received numerous prestigious design accolades, most recently a Palladio Award and a pair of Addison Mizner Awards from the Institute of Classical Architecture & Art.

As the eleven projects featured in this first monograph of their work demonstrate, Moor Baker is an “everything matters” firm, down to the doorknobs and hinges. They care about craftsmanship, about choosing materials that improve with age, and, most important, about designing homes that their clients will cherish.

Based in Florida, their architecture is exemplary for warm climes, emphasizing airiness, openness, and indoor-outdoor living. Written by Chris Baker, illustrated with Jessica Klewicki Glynn’s limpid photographs—styled by Mary Juckiewicz—and Peter Moor's drawings, and featuring the work of renowned designers such as interior designer Tom Scheerer and landscape architect Mario Nievera, House Love is sure to endear and endure.
