This book is a masterpiece of quilting.
The 24th in the series--includes a range of quilts for all skill levels.
Artist Kaffe Fassett is a name every quilter knows. His work has been commissioned by the British monarchy, American fashion designers, and the Royal Shakespeare Company.
With his unerring eye, Kaffe has found the perfect location for his exquisite new collection of quilts, featuring both his scintillating new fabric designs and his classics, all in his unique colour palette. This time he has chosen the iconic 13th-century Powis Castle in north Wales, where the 20 quilts in this book are set off against the storybook castle and stunning grounds. Photographed brilliantly by Debbie Patterson, they are displayed in all their glory in a sumptuous eye-catching quilt gallery.
The new designs include:
- Saturated red quilt consisting of rich deep hues
- Cold Frames quilt, with its dramatic black-and-white sashing framing fussy-cut flower prints
- The cool geometry of his Marble Tiles quilt takes its inspiration from the painted panelling in the Long Gallery
- Vintage Library quilt echoes the warm tones of the hundreds of leather-bound books in the Castle's collection.
As usual, this book--the 24th in the series--includes a range of quilts for all skill levels, from beginners to advanced, and features an eclectic mix of patterns and colours ranging from Philip Jacobs' eye-catching bold floral prints to Brandon Mably's smaller-scale quirky patterns. In addition, flat shots, a practical know-how section, and a glossary back up the fully illustrated, step-by-step instructions for each quilt.
This stunning book with impressive designs and eye-watering photography is as much of a keepsake as it is a beautiful gift for a loved one.
