Rahner's contribution to the field of spirituality is overshadowed by his reputation as a giant in theology, and it is important to make this better known, both for CWS readers and those seeking the grounding of Rahner's thought.
"Rahner's spirituality imbued his vast theological corpus, which continues to offer valuable wisdom for all who strive to understand and live out the Christian faith today. Scholars and spiritual seekers hoping to engage Rahner's spirituality could not hope for better guides than Lennan and Fritz, whose accessible introduction, thoughtful selections, and perceptive organization make this a volume both thorough and usable."
—Jessica Coblentz, associate professor of religious studies and theology, Saint Mary's College, Notre Dame, Indiana
"An excellent volume that brings readers into the heart of Rahner's spirituality and theology. The selections from Rahner's spiritual writings are judiciously chosen. Both those new to, and familiar with, Rahner's work will find here new insights, including in the comprehensive introduction."
—Declan Marmion, SM, professor emeritus, systematic theology, St. Patrick's College, Maynooth, Ireland
