Meanwhile: Pick Any Path

Om boken

You are the hero, the pilot, and the detective.

This masterpiece by comics genius Jason Shiga (winner of Eisner and Ignatz awards) reinvents interactive fiction for the 21st century. Forget simply turning to a page number. Meanwhile uses an ingenious system of tabs and color-coded paths that lead you forward, backward, upside down, and right-side up again.

Every turn of the tab reveals a new clue, a shocking revelation, or a catastrophic failure.

Experience true replay value: Can you find the one path that leads to the best possible ending, or will you end up blowing up the universe?
The ultimate puzzle book: Designed by a mathematics major, the narrative structure is a complex flow chart hidden within a fun, all-ages graphic novel.
A wholly unique physical book: The interactive nature is designed specifically for the print format, making it a must-have collector's item and a perfect gift for readers who love puzzles, science fiction, and non-linear storytelling.

Dive in and choose your path. Just be careful: every choice has 3,855 other consequences.

“Crazy + Genius = Shiga.” —Scott McCloud, author of Understanding Comics

“If humankind ever finds itself at the brink of its own destruction and I am given the task to fill a small, space-bound time capsule with a collection of ten graphic novels that would present to alien eyes the best that the cartoonists of Earth had to offer the universe, Jason Shiga’s Meanwhile would surely be among my picks.” —Gene Luen Yang, author of American Born Chinese
