Modern West

Om boken

Modern West celebrates fifteen elegant, modern homes in breathtaking western settings, including Park City, Big Sky, Jackson, West Yellowstone, Sun Valley, and Santa Fe.

Chosen for proximity to skiing, lake views, and mountain living, the homes in Modern West are carefully crafted, professionally built, and expertly designed to highlight western living. A dated, dark log home becomes an industrial-feeling space infused with light in Park City; proportion, scale, harmony, and the interplay of shadow and light take front and center in a mountain home designed from the ground up in Sun Valley; and a house in Santa Fe made for guests and entertaining features open spaces using wood, stucco, and rusted metal to create a neutral but textured backdrop for rooms invested with a New Mexico modernist aesthetic. In this book, modern materials mix with traditional western design and décor to create more than a dozen gorgeous homes worth celebrating.

Author Chase Reynolds Ewald brings 25 years of experiences writing about art, travel, design, food, people, and western lifestyle to share the very best of modern western architecture in these homes that will inspire and delight.
