Will they ever let me go?Gina had always believed herself to be strong. A traveller, a survivor, a woman who embraced the world with curiosity and courage. But beneath her independence was a heart still quietly carrying the weight of loss - the end of a twenty-three-year relationship and the grief of losing her mother. Searching for colour, freedom and a new beginning, Gina arrives in Cuba, a country alive with music, passion and intoxicating beauty. Among Havana's sunlit streets, salsa rhythms and unforgettable characters, she begins to rediscover the woman she thought she had lost. But paradise can hide shadows. Drawn into a world of desire, deception and misplaced trust, Gina finds herself caught between the life she hoped to rebuild and a reality she never expected. What begins as an adventure becomes a powerful journey through vulnerability, betrayal and the painful truths we must face before we can truly heal. Inspired by real events, Thank You for the Kiss is a raw and captivating memoir of love, grief, obsession and awakening - a story of one woman's fight to reclaim herself when everything she believed about strength, trust and identity is challenged. Sometimes losing yourself is the only way to finally come home.
