The Boy From The East

Om boken

It is word that the further east you go, the worse the atrocities get and worse are the conditions for the people who survive the war. Such is the story of a boy from the East, Hober.

Born in the village of Hoslava and suffering the hardships of the Polish tundra, Hober lost his family to accidental fire. Longing for the warmth of shelter and love of a family, Hober is determined to stay deeply connected with nature and not leave his village at any cost.

But war changes everything. And he travels to America for a better life... unknown of the stark reality that lies ahead.

The Boy From The East by Tameh Kuczynski provides a deeply provocative exploration on the impact of war on love, family and friendship. The book depicts the loss of joyful innocence, terror of life on the front lines and the consequences of war firsthand.
